Unemployment rate in the Philippines goes down

(MENAFN) According to recent reports, the unemployment rate in the Philippines declined to 3.9 percent in May 2025, a slight improvement from the 4.1 percent recorded in the previous month.

During a press briefing, the head of the national statistics agency revealed that around 2.03 million people in the country were unemployed in May, marking a small drop from the 2.06 million reported in April.

When compared to the same period last year, the figures show further progress. In May 2024, the jobless rate stood at 4.1 percent, which translated to approximately 2.11 million individuals without work, as noted by the agency official.
