Unemployment rate in the Philippines goes down
During a press briefing, the head of the national statistics agency revealed that around 2.03 million people in the country were unemployed in May, marking a small drop from the 2.06 million reported in April.
When compared to the same period last year, the figures show further progress. In May 2024, the jobless rate stood at 4.1 percent, which translated to approximately 2.11 million individuals without work, as noted by the agency official.
