Four Get Arrested in Alleged Terror Plot in California
Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that the Justice Department, in collaboration with the FBI, thwarted what she described as “a massive and horrific terror plot” in the Central District of California, which encompasses Los Angeles and Orange County.
In a message shared on X, Bondi claimed that the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF) was “preparing to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California beginning on New Year’s Eve,” further asserting that the organization intended to target Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and vehicles.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that the bureau had “disrupted a credible, imminent terrorist threat” and apprehended four people in the Los Angeles region.
Patel stated that the suspects were “planning coordinated IED bombing attacks on New Year's Eve, targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles.”
He added that a fifth person was arrested in New Orleans in connection with a reportedly separate plot.
TILF, which maintains a modest presence on social media, describes itself on Facebook as a political group supporting the “Liberation of occupied Turtle Island and liberation of all colonized peoples across the world.”
